My friend Tess(my one follower!!) and I took a trip to the vintage store Bows & Arrows in Sacramento today. Found a rad pair of 80's harem pants..only 10 dollars. Score!! xoxo

I had to make a run to Target to stock up on my hair and face products. The Blockbuster was going out of business, so of course I had to stop by and buy Inception, Easy A, and Toy Story 3..lazy saturday xoxo

The forecast did call for snow today, so I prepared myself with the warmest scarf i could find. But of course the weather turned out to be sunny, so I ended up feeling like suffocating in my cocoon of a scarf. I found this coat at a cute vintage store in Sacramento called Bows & Arrows..such a unique and affordable place to shop vintage. xoxo

I went to the Crocker art Museum to see Gottfried Helnwein's new exhibit. It is called Inferno of the Innocents, and I actually got some illegal photos of some paintings(oops). I was thinking of using my own shots, but I feel like I would get into a load of trouble. I think it was partly because my shoes were making the loudest noise possible. Those oxford flats... xoxo

It was my dad's birthday so I decided to take him out to dinner. I have been wanting to wear these shorts ever since I cut the cuffs off a few months back. You might think that a few months is quite some time to wait to wear something, but I have a little problem. When I first buy something, I am afraid of what to wear it with so I wait. So I finally broke em out and I adore them. Hooray! I apologize for the creepy spider-finger shot, but I wanted to show OPI's Let Them Eat Rice Cake. xoxo

wanderlust

I had to post my Valentine's day gift because the smell is incredible. I washed my hands multiple times today and the sweet coconut smell still lingered. Thanks mom! It also gave me an excuse to show my freshly painted nails. I haven't painted my nails in a while because of all the dance performances this month. So when I finally did paint them, I went a little crazy by picking a bright mint-teal color by Savina. xoxo

roasted brussels sprouts

This is my favorite Ina Garten recipe. I also feel healthy when I eat them so it works out wonderfully. You don't need to measure the salt and pepper, I just sprinkle it on(quite heavily I should add) xoxo

1 1/2 pounds of Brussels sprouts
3 tablespoons good olive oil
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Cut off the ends of the Brussels sprouts and pull off any yellow outer leaves. Mix them in a bowl with the olive oil, salt, and pepper. Transfer them to a sheet pan and roast for 35 to 40 minutes, until crisp outside and tender inside. Shake the pan from time to time to brown the Brussels sprouts evenly. Sprinkle with more kosher salt and serve hot.

After my lunch date cancelled on me, I decided to put on red lipstick and go by myself. For some reason it gives me power and confidence, and I just really like playing up my lips. The shade I use regularly is M.A.C Viva Glam 1. It has a brick shade straight out of the tube, but if you use your finger it turns a nice, classic red, almost like a stain. I'm hooked! xoxo

I never felt so alive and so dead

I am in love with this jacket from Forever 21. There is a definite possibility that i will rewear it many times to come. It is so warm and goes with pretty much anything, but i was feeling comfortable today so I wore my sweaterdress with boots. And my mom gave away all her old stockings to me, so I was very happy this morning. xoxo

sweet 18

This was over the weekend; it was my friend's 18th birthday. she decided to take us paintballing, which was a lot of fun and I got to shoot at my friends! I got lots of paint in my hair, mud on my old sweats, and welts all over my torso. In the second to last pic, that is indeed me in my "crouching tiger" stance as I like to call it. The thing that made it worth it was the after party. We got to dress up and wear tiaras ;)
